About Us
Locally Roasted. Community Rooted.
Women & Queer-Run. Always Mighty Good.
Mighty Good Coffee began in Ann Arbor in 2006 with a clear purpose: to source beans responsibly, roast them with care, and make every cup a bridge to community. Over the years the company has expanded from a single small-batch roastery to supplying cafés across the region while keeping quality and local partnerships at its core.
In 2025, Mighty Good moved to a new roastery in Dexter, Michigan. Roastery Operations Manager Joan Mosyjowski is committed to sourcing exceptional coffees and supporting women-owned & operated farms. Mighty Good Coffee is proudly women & queer-run and committed to small-batch craftsmanship. Every batch reflects hand-selected beans from trusted importers and precisely monitored roast profiles.
Mighty Good plans to open Notable Cafe in the same building in Summer 2026. Cafe Operations Manager Heather Quillen-Beal brings years of experience in cafe management and specialty coffee. Notable Cafe envisions a welcoming space where quality beverages and kind service take center stage.
Mighty Good is committed to sharpening our processes, refining our roasts, and supporting the people who make every brew possible. The company's early years included valuable lessons about respect, collaboration, and listening, with reminders that a great team matters as much as a great roast. Today, we’re doubling down on equity, transparency, and shared growth, ensuring every voice is valued and every cup is exceptional.
We’re proud to be a Living Wage US Certified employer. This certification guarantees that every team member earns a wage aligned with the real cost of living in our community, because those who fuel Mighty Good deserve stability, respect, and opportunity.
At Mighty Good Coffee, we try to do things the right way for the people who make coffee possible. GoodWell is one small way to show that care matters, in each cup and every connection.
